What tours don’t want you to know!

01 Feb What tours don’t want you to know!

If you haven’t noticed recently, there’s about 124,924,376 meet and greet shows touring throughout America. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a great thing until those tours start taking advantage of their fans. So here are some things that tours do (excluding Teen Hoot of course) that you should always pay attention to!

The lineup was just announced for your city and you couldn’t be more pumped that your favorite singer is going to be there! The tour promotes the lineup continuous times but you never see that artist say anything about it. You buy meet and greet tickets for an insane amount of money only to show up and find out your favorite artist isn’t there. Unfortunately this actually happens to way too many people! Many tours will say a certain artist will be at their show just to sell more tickets. Always do your research- if an artist doesn’t directly say they will be at a certain show then they most likely won’t be at that show to see your beautiful hopeful face!

Although it’s not a good idea to go to a show for just one artist- most of the time that’s what people do. If you do go for just one artist, always check the lineup on the days leading up to the show. In order to keep their ticket sales up, some tours discreetly take off an artist when they aren’t able to make it and they never tell their fans; so they go to the show expecting their favorite before it’s too late to get a refund.

Did you know the average cost of a meet and greet is 100 dollars?! Do you know how much food you can buy with 100 dollars!? That’s a whole year of Netflix and a super cute outfit! What a lot of tours don’t want you to know is that they’re broke. http://teenhoot.com/what-tours-dont-want-you-to-know-2/They rely on fans like you and me to buy tickets for an insane amount of money. While it does take money to put a show together, tours usually charge way over the amount they should! Stick with tours that include meet and greet in the ticket price (like Teen Hoot!)

I know this blog post might have sounded like one long rant- but I want fans like you to know what to watch out for so they don’t get hurt! All of this being said, there are some good tours out there that don’t do any of these things. Those are the most fun! Teen Hoot is one of those shows. Teen Hoot is 100% honest and only focused on making sure fans have the time of their lives- and that’s the way it should be.
